I am a Level 5 TEFL-qualified tutor with experience supporting primary school students across a wide range of subjects. Beyond English language teaching, I have worked with children between the ages of 4 and 11, helping them develop confidence, understanding, and stronger learning habits across different areas of the curriculum. My experience extends into homeschooling my own children through a classical education model. This has strengthened my conviction that subjects should not always be treated as isolated areas of learning. Language, literature, history, science, and the wider curriculum can reinforce one another, helping children see connections, develop curiosity, and build a richer understanding of the world around them. Learning should be fun. My teaching philosophy is centered on the belief that learning should be both purposeful and enjoyable. I enjoy getting to know each student as an individual and discovering how they learn most effectively. Rather than relying on a single approach, I seek to identify the methods, explanations, activities, and forms of engagement that allow each child to connect meaningfully with the material at hand. Adaptability is therefore an important part of my tutoring approach. Different students require different levels of structure, encouragement, repetition, challenge, and creativity. I aim to adjust my teaching accordingly while maintaining clear expectations and helping students become increasingly confident and independent learners.
