I’m a British primary teacher with 4 years of teaching experience, specialising in English. I have mainly taught in Key Stage 2, including two years teaching Year 6, where my pupils achieved strong SATs results across the English, Reading and Maths papers. I’m particularly passionate about reading and love helping children become confident, capable and enthusiastic readers. I make lessons engaging and accessible, adapting my teaching to suit each child’s individual needs and learning style. I have experience teaching KS1 and training in Read Write Inc. phonics, allowing me to support children with early reading and phonics as well as developing their wider English skills. I also have strong knowledge of the primary maths curriculum and can support children in developing their mathematical understanding, fluency and problem-solving skills.
